Diesel SS/12 Collection @ Berlin Fashion Week

Diesel showed little growth this season, with a rather ill-fitting variety of shape and texture. I must admit while I was slightly puzzled by some of the looks (que the long, circa-1990 dresses in hunter green, floppy hats and denim jumpsuits), I could perhaps see a certain type of buyer gravitating towards certain pieces. However, on a whole, the show lacked consistency and authenticity.

Perhaps Diesel has chosen to abandon the overtly sexual imagery we’re used to seeing in their styling? Not sure, but whatever it was, this Collection lacked some of the oomph we have come to expect from the legendary denim company.
